Having just moved to the area I need to find a dentist - I live in Tewkesbury and work in Bishops Cleeve so a nearby practice would be ideal. Either NHS or private is fine but preferably private.

Bit of an unusual thread I guess hehethumbup

Try Richard at this practice. I have known him for 10 years or so. Excellent work and post grad education.

I use the Northway Dental Practice.

Just by the co-op. Been there since I was a toddler, great service.

I had no idea that was even there, I live in Northway! hehe

I don't fancy paying £67 for a "new patient assessment" though, my dental plan won't cover that I don't think irked

Blimey, that's a bit steep! I must admit with university and all I haven't been recently, I knew they had changed some prices but I didn't realise it was that bad. Luckily when I had 3 teeth out a few years ago they were still NHS and free!

Yeah it looks like their charge for a check up is just outside of what my plan covers too so it'd leave me out of pocket on top of the monthly fee I'm paying through work's flexible benefits scheme. Shame because it's a 2 minute walk away - I've had a pint in the pub opposite a few times now since I moved hehe

Bit of a bugger. I know there is another in Tewkesbury, close to the fire station but I don't know the name or any prices of that one. Helpful eh?

Brave! I've heard the attempts at karaoke from a few roads away and decided I would give it a miss smile

hehe - it's alright really, few of the regulars seem like a decent bunch. Not been in when it's in full swing at the weekend mind, usually just for a quiet pint / cheap dinner after work.

Do you still live here?

Technically I still live here, I'm at uni in Swansea but "home" is just the other side of Bredon. Have lived in Mitton and Walton Cardiff as well though. Back for the summer now, got a fair few mates who live in N'Way. If you see a crappy old 106 giving you a flash that will be me.

How are you finding it now you've been here a few weeks?

It's been good so far, quite happy with where I am, quiet enough etc smile Getting to work nights out in Cheltenham is a bit of a mare but I knew that when I chose to live a bit further out.

Can't get a taxi back to mine for less than £30 from Cheltenham, so I feel your pain!

yes it was £30 the other week there. I'm just hoping I'll be able to crash with someone who lives in Chelt in the future (already did last week but because we had work the next day I had to get a lift back home to get changed/get my car/etc, rofl)

Haha, brilliant! I can't go out on weeknights now, I just got a job that starts at 7.15 in Cheltenham. Shame, as Monday nights were the best. 3 for the price of 1!

I'm an "assembly technician operator" apparently, as I just got my contract through.

I work in a factory making steam valves, it's very hot, messy and noisy, and actually quite dangerous - so I love it hehe The pay pay is brilliant as well, for a 19 year old on a summer job I can earn £400 in a week if I do some overtime, which is FAR more than some of my other student mates could dream of. It's bloody hard work, but worth it at the end of the day.

You?
