We have a stand at the show, and fk me is it windy. Anyone who is looking to venture along, bring your water proofs and a ruddy good brolly.

Paul- where was your stall? We were there. Only opened for the last day.
On the second day the 12 meter marque behind our stall blew down and put some smallish dents in our van. Not good. some of the Velcro straps on our tent ripped through too.
We were between the dog show and the flower marque, so not the windiest spot either!
Did any thing of yours get damaged?

We were towards the main ring. My storm proof gazebo failed!!! Wasn't upto a Cornish storm. Our 7ft by 10ft canvas sign was distroyed, bits of it all over the site. We were able to patch up the gazebo, and removed the tattered bits of our main sign and were able to carry on. It wasn't the best weather, through Thursday we kept hearing that they were considering closing the show. Friday morning was when most of the damage was done, heard a few tails of people sitting having a cup of tea in other peoples tents, then a gust of wind and the tent they were sitting in was gone. The problem we had was there was only small machinery behind us, so nothing to break the wind, but we survived, just!!!smile

Certainly an interesting weekend. Ironically one of the products the marque that hit our van was selling was windbreaks scratchchin
Do you do the three counties show? Or do you keep it local?

We were at the Bath and West show, and will be at the South West Dairy event, but yes we keep it to the South West area.
