Anyone got a pair or walkie-talkies? (Bristol area)

I'm on the scrounge please - I need a pair of two-way radios for a one-off event, and it seems daft to buy a decent quality pair when I only need them for a couple of days.

Does anyone in the Bristol area have a pair suitable for reliable car to car communication over a quarter-mile or so, that they'd be prepared to let me borrow?

I'd be extremely grateful, and prepared to express that gratitude in the form of a small number of beer tokens.

Hmm, I'm on the scrounge for a pair in September for a one-off week long roadtrip to the continent. I have a pair but they are the crappiest ones ever - what you get for picking something up from local freecycle site....

Ive got some you can borrow. I live in Leigh Woods, let me know when you need them. They are small rechargeable Motorolas. I havent used them for a few years though but put them on charge the other day.
