It was brought to my attention on Sunday that a run out with other PHers on a nice day is a great thing to do... That led me to think of other avenues for a good drive, chinwag and bit of food.

I was thinking along the lines of a Sunday afternoon run, probably leaving Bristol around 2, down to the Dorset coast for fish and chips and back up?

There are some great roads if it's a sunny evening, and hopefully most of the traffic should be the "other" way.

Any thoughts?

Mmm sounds good, i'd be interested.

There are some great fish 'n' chip places in West Bay, went on one a few years ago with TVR CC.

I won't be able to make it this weekend unfortunately! Think it might be a little fraught for most with family commitments etc...

The roads heading south are likely to be horrid this weekend...families etc going away for the Bank Holidays/kid on half term.

It's a shame, I have to go back to work in Germany in 2 weeks time and am not back until August. Hopefully I'll be able to get out then to see you all.

Cool. Lisa was provisionally suggesting next Sunday, I would be up for this but would probably meet you in Dorset as I'm down in Bridport on the Sat night!

I think that is possible. Are we talking next Sunday as in the 10th June?

The 10th might be better. BBC Breakfast is threatening rain this weekend

The road from Bridport, down alongside Chesil Beach, toward Weymouth - is nice! (when its quiet, otherwise its a nightmare!)

I'll check in on this one nearer the time, know that area reasonably well. Are bikes allowed too?
