Hi All,

My name is Leigh and as per the title I'm from Stroud... but I live and work in London. I still consider myself to be based in Stroud though for all car/motorsport related matters as its where I keep my track car project, as such I'm in and around the area regularly.

I drive a 182 clio as my daily and am almost finished turning my MG ZR into a dedicated track car with the intention of racing next year. A few pics;

Forum seems friendly and full of useful stuff, so hope to see some of you out and about soon.

Cheers,

Leigh

Hello from another Stroudy.

Your track car looks pretty smart and we are lucky to have Prescot and Castle Combe close by!

Thanks for the welcome guys, good to see some others from Stroud!

Keen eyes we have here too, the pic was taken at Cadwell. I've never driven Castle Combe but following a rebuild I hope to be at Abingdon in early June.

Welcome from Swindon
I've been thinking of getting a Clio myself to build as a track car, how does it compare to the Mg ?

Thanks again guys for the warm welcome. Breakfast meet sounds good, I'll try and make it along!

Graeme - I've never driven the clio on track and its been a fair while since I drove a standard ZR so its hard to compare. The clio doesn't deem to inspire confidence in the same way as the ZR but that could well be a misguided judgement due the way the ZR is set up now - rose tinted specs and all that. In theory it seems obvious that the clio should be better out of the box and from a better base comes a better car.
