Quick question that I hope will save much grief tomorrow.. Need to park in Bristol, round about the bottom of Whiteladies Road, (by what I think in my student days used to be a fountain that would regularly get soap bombed..).

If I remember, there used to be an NCP car park somewhere near there, but I can't remember exactly where.. Is it on the triangle? Needs to be somethng like that, metered on street parking might not last long enough, (planning to be in town a few hours I think..)

Thanks..

Hi Pyscho

I think youre talking about the Trenchard St NCP car park, just down past the triangle (heading towards the BRI) and turn on the right (you'll see a no entry exit from the car park, the turns on the right JUST past that).

This is basically the NCP that faces the rear of the Colston Hall.

Hope this helps

Actually, I don't think its the one you're talking about. There's another one just off the bottom of the Triangle on the top of Jacobs Wells Road.

Much nearer to the Victoria Rooms (fountains etc) than the Trenchard St. one.

Correct. It's called the "West End" Car Park. It also has the advantage of usually having spaces in, whereas the last few times I visited Trenchard St it was full. Trenchard St also has a bit of a reputation for being used as source of "free" car spares by the boys from St Pauls.

You could probably find a space round the back of the students union, cant remember the names of the roads, but I used to work in Clifton Heights and parked there regularly, for free!

This is worth a go as the students have now gone home for the summer. West End is a good backstop solution though.
