South west breakfast club AV8 cafe

I had been planning on holding another breakfast club meet this coming Sunday but due to a few issues at AV8 cafe put it on hold. I have recently been contacted by the Director of the airport holding company who has apologised for what happened last time. They are very keen for us to go back and are offering full cooperation. They will make the front car park exclusive for our use and if we want photographs of the cars with the planes they will shift them round as we wish. I am meeting with their MD this week and will see what else they can offer. Question is if I can sort this out will I have the support of the people who came last time ?

I haven't managed to make a meet there yet, but would definitely like to support meets there in the future...I have always found the staff at Kemble friendly and was quite surprised when I read of the initial problems. Perhaps it got off on the wrong foot as the usually quiet car park became flooded with exotic machines of beauty as the plane enthusiasts struggled to find a spot to park for their expensive flying lessons. I can imagine those who dont appreciate mere land travel struggled to accept how it could be, we could all enjoy our hobbies and dine in one place! Now it should be excellent with Mr MD onside.

Do you know that there is a car show in Stroud on Sunday as well supporting St Roses School for disabled children. It is called Wheelnuts and is surprisingly big for a local event.

Morning don't think there will be many people this weekend the next real breakfast club will be at the last Sunday in may and we will be fully supported by Cotswold airport.

Yep... Think that's the plan. Miss out this month and then start again final Sunday in May

TorqueVR and myself ended up there last Sunday mid morning. Having previously been to the AV8 Cafe and walked out due to very poor service, have to say it has improved...................but they still have a long way to go to match a breakfast at Morrisons
