A motley crew of unmarked cars (included Peugeot 307 to a filthy van) travelling at high speed westbound on the M4 this morning. They were each a couple of minutes apart but absolutely on it.

What did I miss?

Don't know but saw similar thing on the M3 a month or so ago, included old A4, Mk1 Lexus IS200, Vectras & older Mondeo. All heading towards London, guessed it might have been something to do with Olympics testing route times between London/Southampton Area??

Could be anything - HM Customs, UK Border Agency, don't always assume that blues and twos equals plod. smile

Thanks for the replies. The M4 traffic was pushing on somewhat quicker than usual this morning anyway, so when they came through at speeds well into the triple digits it was a bit of a surprise.

The game is afoot. Olympic response training perhaps?

Pictures have been removed from the article now but this morning I'm sure a 307 was shown.
