I'm not sure if the Cotswolds even count as being in South West but didn't know where to put this so here goes.

Looking for a pretty little village to visit on the weekend for walks and pub lunchs etc.

Any recommendations?

Castle Combe can get very busy at weekends, especially if good weather. A colleague stayed there for her birthday last Sunday night. She said the Monday was much nicer walking about as it was so quiet.

Thanks, they all look lovely to be honest. Might give Bibury a go, or castle Combe if I go on Thursday. smile

If you end up in Combe and fancy a pint early evening let me know, I live in the next village.

Biddestone is a good shout. You can easily take in Biddestone and Castle Combe in quick succession, only 5 mins apart. And have a pint in my local!
