Don't suppose anybody has any recommendations of a local-ish (Bristol-based) independent garage who I can entrust my 2003 RS6 with?

Yes, I can take it to the main dealer, but we all know how much they charge for labour!

I know there are some highly regarded RS6 specialists out there (Unit20 & MRC to name a couple) but they are not very conveniently located to Bristol and would ideally like somewhere closer.

Planning ahead for the summer 'big' service (not cam-belt as this isn't due for a few years) together with front brake disk and pad replacement.
I know the bill is going to be big, and I'd like to know it is in safe hands when spending a lot of cash, as I don't want anything else to 'crop-up' when the local spanner-shop is 'having a go' and accidnetally did something they shouldn't!

Try Dialynx of Swindon - ask for Keith Murray, he owns it and also check out his web site, it is a bit out of date but shows what he can do.

+ 1 for dialynx
They're based in Lydiard Millicent, so only a couple of miles off m4 junction 16 - only 25mins from the m32

Stu @ Forza West, Chepstow - piece of piss from Bristol

Mainly BMW and TVR but does most prestige and a lot of exotic

Plenty on here recommend him and I've taken the M3 there for countless services (around 95k miles in 2.5 years) - very reasonable and great work

I trust Steve Davey at The Laurels in High Littleton implicitly. Proper garage full of petrol-heads, sorted a chums M3 in hours that had been in a 'specialists' for days with no joy, totally unfazed by the electrics on my Range Rover Sport and my daily drive V8 S Type Jaguar has never run better since he took over the servicing from the MD. Also just rescued an LS400, now there's a brave man.

Also a really nice guy....which helps! Labour c£40ph.

I would reccomend Leighton at Pro-Garage

Crown road, Warmley, BS30 8JB

Used him for many years, uses good products, listens to what you want and only carries out the work you ask for.
