Looking for a recommendation for somewhere that will collect and legally dispose of a car shell for me in Bristol. Ideally giving me something for it too!

Try cartakeback.com. I got £170 for a fecked Clio not long ago with no hassle whatsoever, and they collect. Online quote and they stuck to it, so it's worth a quote against the local scrappies.

Worth a go, although mine will be a pretty bare shell. Thanks for the recommendation.

Saw this thread earlier in the week and got Manor Scrap to collect my old Civic shell today - fantastic process. Very friendly and reasonable guys - had a lovely chat with the fella who came to pick up the Civic about cars in general (he was very complimenting of the M3). Got £60 for the shell, which was pretty good since the Civic has no interior or engine (and I kept the wheels).

Highly recommended! smile

Afternoon....

Same question, I have a Honda S2000 shell that I need to scrap. Tried Manor as suggested but because this lieterally is a shell they said they couldn't get it on the back of their wagon. Need someone who can pick up the shell with a Hiab really.

Anyone got any other suggestions?

Cheers

They told me that as my 328 will just be a shell and after a while he agreed they would do it! Not quite sure how mind you!

One post in 75 months, not bad going.

Has the car not even got axles left? As if so you could bolt a set of wheels onto it and just pick them up from the yard - that's what I did with my Civic. I can lend you the wheels if you'd like.

Like I said earlier, try cartakeback.com. They have a questionnaire online, and I think IIRC you tell them how complete the car is. Worth a try anyway. Pretty sure they use hiabs.
