Hi All,

I'm looking to relocate to Bristol in the not too distant future, which will mean a new job! So, I was wondering if anyone can recommend a decent recruitment agent amongst the many mediocre or worse agencies out there. The one I've dealt with so far has yet to leave me impressed, or even satisfied! I'm a .NET software developer.

Alternatively, if anyone is looking for a .NET dev then please get in touch smile

Cheers, Simon.

Drop a note to Nick Dean at Adlib. nick@adlib-recruitment.co.uk

He does most of my recruitment and is really sound.

Just a heads up in case you're still looking - I'm a .NET developer who was until very recently (when I found a job) looking for work in the bristol / bath area. Redrock Consulting were good with getting me a good number of places to talk to and roles that were actually suitable. Not the usual brand of ttty recruiters.

You could try speaking to Matthew Webley and tell him Chris who he just placed at ALD recommended you speak to him, might get me a referral bonus smile

My mate Ben Curnock is a director of RedRock. Great guy, loves cars. Recommended.

Tell him Mike Rowland sent you.

Thanks guys.

Redrock have cropped up amongst the agents that got in touch. I'm in the process of pursuing a particular role right now, but if it doesn't come to anything I'll make a point of following up with them!

MM - I am in the property business well and looking for work. I recommend the following:-

Mark Somerville - 07725 056067
Rupert Stuart-Baker @ Beach Baker - 0117 9856909
Chris Carter @ Orbis - 0117 9100570
Tom or Paul @ Buzz - 08445 611848

Start at the top and work down - in order of effectiveness. There are plenty of other wombats out there.

Tell them that Tim Maynard recommended them if you will.

Good Luck

Well thanks everyone for the posts and getting in touch, it's truly appreciated and a great reflection of everything that I love about PH smile

I've actually been offered the role I first applied for, which is the position I had my heart set on so I'm very excited about starting!

I've now got to stop the endless pestering of recruitment agents, and start looking for somewhere to live in Bristol!

If you see a stickered blue MX5 in the future then give me a wave smile

Waterfront will have some nice apartments (and a nice price smile) Clifton has some great places parking can be ste though and potential for lots of students. Good bars and restaurants in the area. Hotwells I don't know so well, looks more rundown, the bits I know and poss student based but then this is Bristol and they are difficult to escape from hehe do you know Bristol at all, if not ck the commuter route you'll do, rush hour traffic is not fun!

Good luck with it all

Thanks smile

I've got a few friends in Bristol and will be walking to work (they have 6 spaces between 200 odd staff!). Coming from Newbury I hoped things might be a bit cheaper seems not though! eek
