Recommend at surveyor in Plymouth area

My daughter is looking at buying a flat or house in the Plymouth to Tavistock areas and has been recommended lots of surveyors not to go to but not one who actually does what the customer wants. If anyone can recommend a decent property surveyor it's much appreciated.
