MOTing in Swindon

Hey Chaps,

Going to need an MOT soon, just wondering where's a good place that wont rip you off in swindon.

Your recommendations?

I took the Aston over to ATS, Greenbridge. £25 too.

I use Haskins in Wroughton. Let me stay with the car and help out. Thinking of using them for servicing as well.

The other halfs sister had her car serviced there then bits fell off it including fuel hoses!

I think everywhere is as bad as each other unless you know someone in the trade. There are a few places I can go where I can be there chatting with them while they test the car and any bad points can be shown to me etc but I have no idea what these guys would be like with the general public.

Just to add I think there is a place called Greenbridge MOT centre. I think they only do MOTs there so have no interest in failing cars. I think you just turn up rather than have a pre booked slot.

If it's just going in for an MoT I use MoTest. Only because it doesn't take that long from north Swindon and they do handy times on Sat & Sun. Worst case it's walking distance for work if it's my wife's car.

Pete at PJS Autos in River Ray Ind Est, Barnfield Rd (near B&Q) is a sound garage. You can turn up on Saturdays without booking. First come first served. £30

Just had mine done yesterday as it had lapsed from 1 Feb (ooops ), I just called in and they fitted me in there and then .. sorted.
