Bristol Motor Club Castle Combe Family Sportscar Day
Discussion
Hi All,
Following on from the Bristol Motor Club Centenary day last year at Castle Combe we are doing another day to follow our regular Saturday Sprint, this time the date is Sunday 24th June.
The plan is to gather as many interesting cars together as possible, we have a few clubs in already and I hope we can fill the paddock as per last year. We are putting more emphasis on family activities too, including opening the track on the lunch break for families to walk / cycle. We will be doing the parade laps again, as well as an award for the 'peoples favorite' car.
We want to offer a paddock area to you guys, obviously we are looking for sports / supercars, at this point I reckon 20-30 cars for the display although I'm sure we can be flexible depending on space. You will get free entry and the chance to book a parade session of three laps for a tenner.
Anyone who is interested in this please send me a mail at
bristolmotorclubevent@gmail.com
Cheers
Dave

Hi All,
Quick update, we are taking bookings for the track time, we are offering three laps of Combe for a tenner, the circuit are providing the pace cars at a resonable pace. You will get free entry regardless if you book the tracktime or not if you are an exibitor with an allocated paddock parking area (if a sportscar), price on the gate will be £5 per car (regardless of numbers inside).
As said before at lunchtime we are opening the track for families to walk / cycle the track and are planning kids activites to run alongside the car action.
More information to come, it'll be great to see some of the great cars from last year and hopefully some new ones!
Any questions please email bristolmotorclubevent@gmail.com
Cheers

Quick bump for this event, we still have track space in the morning and still would love some more cars for the display. You do need a pass for the paddock display so please get in touch if you want to come. Please email zoefsd@bristolmc.org.uk to secure your space.

Anyone else from here going? I hear there's about 200 cars going to be there on display. I went last year and it was a good chilled out day out in the sunshine. Loads of cool cars and a great atmosphere. Hoping for more of the same this year.
I will be there , first timer....hope the nice weather comes back , my roof leaksGuys,
We had a meeting about this last night, there is now no gate charge for getting in, we will also man the visitors entrance so if you have a sports car and haven't booked you could be still be invited into the paddock to display your car.
If you want paddock access please book in if you can, the paddock entry is free and a track pass is only a tenner and we have very limited space left. Please note paddock access is for classic and sports cars only please.
See you there, come over to the BMC gazebo and say hello!
Cheers

At least you have a roof....Thanks to everyone who came up to Combe on Sunday, we ended up with a great mix of cars and more track time than we expected! With the Rotary Classics we had around 300 cars on the day! My personal favourite moment was the rumble from over 30 Cobras running round the track.
We've been asked by several people about next year and I think we'll do it again, so keep an eye on www.bristolmc.org.uk for news on this and the other stuff we are up to!
If anyone has some pics of the event then please feel free to share.
Cheers

Brilliant day. Parents, sister, O/H, all throughly enjoyed themselves. The track parade was a fabulous thing to include. Would have paid 5 times the amount asked.
Brilliant.
