I am sure that a lot of us on hear go over to the Goodwood Breakfast club. Do people on here think that one would be possible in the south west ? The obvious place would be Castle Combe but it could also be somewhere like Kemble. What do people think ?

Hardly South West for some of us though!!

This is the historic problem, our area is quite large geographically, I for one don't relish a 2 hour drive to get to a meeting place, especially on a motorway early doors on a Sunday!!

If people think this would work I am happy to get the ball rolling. I think with the numbers of people who live within 50 miles of Bristol it could work, I do take the point that if you live in Cornwall it's too far, maybe people down there should organise a Cornish Breakfast Club.

Kemble would be good - not keen on Combe (it's a bit dreary on the best of days).

Cheddar is another possible location (there is at least one decent cafe there) and it is a little more south west - although probably not enough to keep Pete happy (oh well, it's a risk I'm willing to take tongue out).

Yes that was it, i knew it wasnt Bovey Castle as that would of been £25 for a bacon butty.
The temperature hit 2 degrees today, so I reckon the gritters and salt will be on the roads soon. That means i'll have to bring the daily driver out for any runs in the next few weeks.....

That said I think we should have a Christmas run / drink

How about further West, Smokey Joe's cafe near Chiverton Cross followed by a coastal run of Norh Cornwall?

Drogo's good. Nice cafe and some good roads around the locality. Grew up round there so know most of them.

Drogo sounds ideal. Right in the middle of the South West and just off the A30.
