Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knows of an open area around Bristol where one can have a quick play and try out the limits of new tyres etc.

Back in the day one could just pop down the local supermarket carpark on a Sunday eve but it's not so easy to find a somewhere these days.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

i was thinking the same thing could do with a play ground somewere to drive around and be safe and not get told off by the police

but it seems any land they soon buy up and build houses on it

but if there was any kind of place you no the little boy racers in there 1.4 saxos will be there making a ass of them selfs
not to mention the smell of drugs that follows these kids

Shame you just missed Hullavington, perfect as they have a big area, set aside for one car at a time for precisely this.

Sounds great but it costs to much I cant afford to pay £100 for one day then fuel on top ill be looking at about £200 for a day out thats half my weeks wages

Why do they charge so much its a joke

Maybe if it was £50 for a day thats a more realistic price

That's a very reasonable price - hiring out airfields isn't cheap, and neither is the public liability insurance!

However, if you think you can do it and turn in a profit for £50 / day, there's a massive market for it on here!

+1

It's well staffed too, actually, I wonder how they can do it so cheaply.

That is good value. But I really just want to spend 15 mins getting to know the tyres and chassis as the Mrs is constantly hogging the BMW furious and I still don't feel I 'know' the car really...

Guess the days of a disused bit of concrete etc may have passed!!

Quite a few empty spaces (Not massive mind), between Avonmouth and Severn Beach.
