Is anyone aware of any car related goodness happening at this? I haven’t been to the Regatta in about 15 years, but my hazy memory is reminding me that there was some kind of little area where some nice cars parked up to be ogled over.

If not, I suppose there’s always the planes! I’m heading down tomorrow & I read that after the BOB memorial flight there's a minute silence then, in place of the red arrows the sea fury and swordfish will be going up followed by the tucano practice. Nothing jet powered then...?

Absolutely nothing car related i'm affraid.

I go every year as i have a boat berthed in the Dart. Great place & fab event. More boat than car related.

Cheapjack stands are crappy these days. Boat races are still great, its what the regatta should be all about.

Park 3 miles away, pay £6 for a burger off a van, loose your change on a ride in the fair, drink 6 pints and wander around looking at the sky......its just great

I went to the Regatta as i was staying in Dartmouth. Sad that the Red Arrows were no able to display although the one minute silence on the Friday evening was immaculately observed.

No BBMF due to the crap weather around their home base & the Typhoon wasnt scheduled this year due to 'operational reasons'.

I thought that the flying displays this year were not up to the Regatta's usual standards, the street market was crap this year & the boat display's were piss poor.

All in all i was extremely disappointed with this years Regatta. Best bit was getting out to HMS Severn on Saturday morning & watching my 6 year old son 'target' boats he didnt like with the 20mm cannon......

However - i will be back for a week in October & i will be back down again for next year's Regatta just because i love Dartmouth.

Yes. Sorry about that!

Happy to say that the little bugger had a great time with the 20mm......
