Hiya,

As title, I may be changing job and heading down to Bournemouth / Poole area, just wondering what areas are nice to live in and which ones to avoid?
Any suggestions, we'd be looking to rent for a short while and then maybe buy in a year or so.

The office is currently in Poole, so I could drive there but it looks like it will move to Bournemouth, in which case I'd have to get the bus / train. Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks!

Areas to avoid;
West Howe
East Howe
Most of Kinson
Townsend
Turlin Moor
Certain parts of Parkstone
Derby's corner.

Where to live?
Northborne
Muscliff
Parts of Canford Heath are nice.

It's all budget dependant really.

My parents have bought a place in Upton which seems nice enough, bit far from Bournemouth though, took about 20mins to get from there to the sea front in B'mouth in rush hour traffic.

Thanks for your replies, went down there today, sadly my phone was playing up so couldnt see your replies.
Went from Poole - Christchurch stopped off and had a walk around Christchurch, which seemed ok?

Thanks for your thoughts...any more pointers?

Christchurch is quite a pleasant place, driving between there and Poole can be a pig though, saying that if you are within reach of the Train Station and your work is in the centre of Poole you could be on to a winner.

Moordown is a nice area. Close enough to the town centre but far enough away to avoid the crowds.
