Did one last year.
First day went to the ring and stayed the night there. Second day went down to Davos, Swiss. Third day did the Fluela and Stelvio passes and the down to Monaco. Spent a few days in Monaco before making our way back stopping off in Dijon before the final day back to the train.
Fantastic time and really worth doing.

we go every year for two weeks.
-try to do as little motorway as possible... its just a waste of fuel. We only really do motorway on day 1 & last day to head south and warmer weather.
-France / Spain / Germany are much less densely populated so as long as you keep away from tourist hot spots then you’ll be fine.
-June is much quieter than July or August
-Most villages will have a good, cheap camp site, often with a pool (not like camping in Britain)
-independent hotels in towns villages are usually good value at c50 euro per room per night
-Kayaking down the Tarn / Verdon / Ardech (and probably others) is very good fun
-decent French menus can be as little as 13euros off the beaten track.
-house wine is perfectly drinkable (not uk spec acid)
-don’t be afraid to explore random bits of france... if you do the usual alps / monarco trip it will be busier and more expensive, but the roads and view not much better.
-if doing 3-4hrs of A-B roads perday expect to do c3000 miles
Have fun

You need to head over to www.petrolheadnirvana.com for details of the tours that they do.
I've done two Alpine trips, one Viking and Scotland and all are great trips on great roads.
Be aware though from now on for the next 6 weeks is when the French are on holiday too so the best roads are clogged with motorhomes.......
