gearbox /diff experts !!!

hi there ,i seem to have a problem with the gearbox or front diff on my evo 8
does anyone know the best place for some one to have a look and maybe diagnose what the problem is ?. i live in exeter but work in collumpton so either area would be good .
it is drivable but is making a horendous noise, the car was parked outside the house for a couple of weeks and not used ,when i started it and tried to reverse out there was a clunk but i thought it was just the pads stuck to the discs ,but then when i pulled away the noise was horrific {up around 60 its almost deafening}
so im guessing its either the front diff or the gearbox.
any suggestions ??
