Dawn Refuelling - July 17th Castle Drogo

There don't seem to be many events/meets in the Devon area at the mo so I thought I'd let you lot know about this. I met the chap who writes PetrolBlog earlier this week and he was talking about creating an event similar to the Goodwood breakfast club but down in the South West since Goodwood is a fair old trek.
The plan is to meet up at Exeter services at 7am then drive over to Castle Drogo, or just go straight to Castle Drogo and meet there for 8.30am and scoff some bacon sarnies and the like.
This is the first time he's done this so is just trying it out to see if it's workable and not expecting a lot of people to come, just a low-key affair to test.
Thought it would be nice to get a few PHers along since I know a few are pretty local and will be appreciative of a good excuse for a hoon around Dartmoor.

How narrow is narrow ? Is it single car with passing places or 2 car wide but scratch your paintwork in the hedge ?I presume there will not be any speed humps but with minimal clearance on the front spoiler is there any nasty incline/declines to be worried about ?

It would be good if folk could start a list of who's likely to attend and if they'll be joining at Exeter Services or going straight to Drogo.
In answer to queries re the roads, have no fear. The majority of the route takes in the old A30, so plenty of good, open and wide roads! Once off the Whiddon Down to Moretonhampstead road there's about a two mile stretch which gets narrow in places. But really, nothing out of the ordinary. They held a classic car event there on Sunday, so that should give you some idea.
I'm planning to do a test run before the main event, so will confirm details then.
So, start a list on here by all means and I'll know who to expect. A comment on PetrolBlog would be helpful and you can also email me at dawnrefuelling[at}petrolblog.com. If you do this I can create a mailing list to send out official details to. This will include mobile numbers, suggested route and other info.
