If any of you are planning on going over to the continent I have found a nice little way to keep the costs down when using the Tunnel or the Ferry's!
Book the trip you want over then book a RETURN for the NEXT DAY, then do not turn up for the return, then do the same for your return trip. Some of the companys do very cheap rates for Day Trips using the Channel. I use the crossing on a monthly basis and it does work, its worth checking the price of the actual return trip you want friet just to make sure.

For an example I have booked the Eurotunnel for tomorrow to come back to the UK using this trick at a cost of £44, The return I wanted would have cost £199 if I booked it normally.

Be very careful and read all the small print. With Brittany Ferries, for example, if you do not use the return trip part of the ticket they will charge your credit card the full price of a 10 day return ticket price. They are fully aware of your "scam".

I have looked into this in the past and where I got to is they may get you on the return trip as you had not complied with the conditions of the ticket.
