Hello all,

Anyone know of a really good paintshop in Cornwall or Devon as far as Exeter? Need the stone chips and a few other things doing on the 993.

Thanks in advance.

Yours,

Giles

One I've had recommended but never used is:
Ian Broomhead
55 Drump Road
Redruth
TR15 1PS

There's another in Padstow, I'll ask a mate who recently used them for wheel and bumper tidy up.

Mention any you're thinking of and I'll give you my thoughts via PM, as I've used a couple that I wouldn't use again, but don't want to fall foul of the name and shame rules.

Fairweathers in Exeter (Tel. 01392 420000) ignore the location they really are the best, the owner there is very hands on they are also the approved Aston Martin body shop for the South West, I dont recommend many people but they have worked on a few of my cars, including that last car that had special order factory paint.

These guys are pretty good, owner has a 996 cab at the moment. They do alot of restoration work on classics, so are willing to spend time on stuff

My XK has been to them a couple of times, its now perfect, Like new

I'm popping into fairweather early Saturday morning for a quote on my XKR.
I had some work there done years ago, very happy with it, no flashy premises, just professional job.

Can't praise Dave Trevena in Lanner, Redruth enough - he's an artist and has done a lot of work of loads of Porsches

Bit late in, but Falmouth Coachworks does a lot of the Ocean & Riders work so good with high end jobs.

They made the front end of my old Merc look fantastic after 175k's worth of hard stone chipped motorway miles, also they got out all the car park dents in the doors! I was very impressed.

Thanks for this. Haven't ever heard of them but the car lives in St. Mawes so they're nice and local.
