Any scaffolders or builders merchants on here?
Discussion
Hi chap - you're coming to the Caring with Cars children's hospice event, I believe.
The problem we have is there are two tarmac speed humps on the private drive up to the hospice. We can't go around them, so we're looking for a way (and a hand) solving the problem.
We need to raise up the road surface either side of the speed bumps by about 2 inches in order for very low cars - like the Mosler - to not scrape their insides out on the humps.
Ideally we need someone local with experience / tools / doesn't mind helping for free or cheaply to construct some kind of platform either with scaffolding planks joined together or marine ply - something sturdy anyway. Not a ramp - flat boards resting on the tarmac.
Is this something you could help with?

scaffold planks are a good inch thick anyway. Send me the critical details/dims and i'll try and help. The problem we have is there are two tarmac speed humps on the private drive up to the hospice. We can't go around them, so we're looking for a way (and a hand) solving the problem.

Matt
I am going up there to measure this evening.
I assume you don't need more than width of road, and width and height of the speed humps?
The wheelbase of the Mosler is 109 inches so distance between leading edge of the first 'platform', across the hump and the trailing edge of the second platform will need to be about that.
We'll be very pleased to promote your company on the website and at the event.
