Griffins Head Papplewick meets on again!
Discussion
Hi chaps
If you want a midweek blat to sunny Papplewick there is a 'bring anything interesting' car meet at Papplewick at the Griffins Head the first Wednesday of every month. Tonights interests were:
Mustang
Big Ford Harley Davison Bling truck thing - way gangsta!
Ginetta
Esprit
Loads of MG's
Cobra's real and repro
Model T Ford style thing - dunno what it was but it was cool!
And some others which I did not get a chance to look at or take note of.
About 40 ish cars tonight, sometimes they get up to 100! Just nice to 'kick tyres' of some stuff you don't normally see about.
I will post a reminder when the next one comes up if anyone is interested, unless Raceboy wants to? Don't you know the chaps who run this matey?
Cheers

Used to work with Kev, one of the Copy Cobra boys, got a phone call last night to tell me it was on but I'm currently unable to drive and racegirl had already started on the vino so we weren't going anywhere
Should be fine for next months though

It might be usefull if the reminders were posted before, not after
Sorry, I'd have bumped it, but as the Chimaeras done a good impression of a McLaren F1 car and will be minus engine for the next couple of weeks all car stuff is on hold

funny i live only 3 to 4 miles from the Griffins Head and didnt know about the meet, recently purchased a 4.3 griff.
Keep an eye out for the flying Tango 'C1RVY' Cerbera, and the lesser spotted (unless it's on it's way to a trackday ) Black S, both reside in the Linby end of Hucknall
I've defected a few miles north but when the cars running I've been known to return

it's about time I turned up somewhere.
I think I spotted you arriving just as we were leaving (in the Clio and a bit moody)
I think the shortest visit went to the chap in the Viper, I'm sure he pulled in one end of the car park drove through and out the other side, just infront of a Panda Car
Didn't go, because my Dad had just finished engine number three, Black Prince. Well smart. If anybody's going to Rempstone Steam Rally this weekend, look for the grey haired, soot covered gent with a 3" scale Fowler Ploughing Engine. That's my Dad, with number 2, Black Bess.
Black Bess and number 1, Black Beauty, are a matched pair, both have won 3rd prize at the Harrogate MES, and are for sale, £32k the pair. (sorry Ted).

Sorry to miss you! It was so bloody cold, left early to curl up in front of fire.
Twas me with the Viper pitstop and the on my tail.
I was just checking that I had the right place and time, then it was a slow nip well a crawl actually to the gas station with the following me every inch of the way , to feed the beast that lurks within.
We did return but since the UK seems to have entered some ice age type senario a quick drink and a snuggle in the car was all I could persuade the better half to do .
So maybe when the weather improves I can get around and have a chat.
Nice to see such a diversity of motors took my right back to my youth

'bout 6.30pm ish I think...Raceboy, any idea?
Yeah, 6.30-7 it's all very informal, just turn up park in the field, get a drink and chat 'cars'
People will be there until it's dark so don't worry if it's 8 before you turn up they'll still be someone there
I'm glad someone bumped this I'd forgot all about it, and my cars back so if it's not raining I'll probably be there
