Stuff to do in the Midlands

I will be moving to the Midland area from early February. I know there are a few regular meetings and runs out. What else is there to do of interest ?

Also if anyone has a vacant property near central Birmingham they want to let please let me know.

Exactely, what sort of "stuff" do you mean?

As we are the Midlands, it's not that far to many major cities so don't worry about being bored, plenty of great b-roads too!

There's an active stamp collecting club where I live or you can do flower pressing at the WI. It's all happening, lol.

Bob - I'm down in the Midlands as you know and once I've sold the house in Evesham probably....hopefully early next year, I'll be looking for somewhere to live along the M42 corridor so I can get up to Yorkshire within 2 hours to see Al, me Mum and the rest of the PH lads and lasses from time to time. I'll also be in the market for the TVR..... can't wait

Should be plenty of meets to go to and the roads, especially the Cotswolds, are a plenty

I have used the latter in the past to meet women - also dance classes although anyone who has seen me dance will know I'm as good at dancing as I am at golf (See PotB for references).

I was thinking more of museums, good walking areas, any other stuff that can't be done in other parts of the country.

They will have to be good to beat some of the North Yorks ones but I'm willing to give it a try.

I'm off to Birmingham this weekend to have a look at a couple of rental properties for the interim until I can find the place I want in the right area.

Well walking - you have Cannock Chase, the Lickeys and just generally the warwickshire country side.

Places to see/museums - B'ham is full of museums! Warwick, Henley In Arden, Stratford are all places to go and see.

Just 4 of about 30 fine walks we often go on.
