Mallory - 20th August

Just a note to say I'll be racing at Mallory on 20th August, assuming I don't stack it in testing like last year.

Be good to a see as many of the the Midlands regulars and not-so-regulars out supporting the race.

...just to say an updated timetable has been published for those planning on coming to watch, we now have two TVR races

First Race 1235, 20mins
Second Race 1525, 20mins

If you want the rest of the timetable let me know, and I'll put it up when I get home

Yep, that seems to be about the most likely outcome. Especially around lunchtime and getting on for 4pm!

Skinny tyres and a rudder may be useful mods if they are allowed ...

Years ago I heard tell of a F Ford racer who, faced with a very wet race and Brands, stuffed about 50psi in his tyres and flew away from the rest of the field. The theory was that the extra pressure opened the tread pattern (road tyres) and therefore shifted more water so providing better grip and less aquaplaning. Hence the suggestion of 'skinny' tyres to achieve the same sort of effect ...

On the other I hope the sun makes a great display for you and you get a couple of dry races.
