Dumb place to park up.

Derby Police were out on Pride Park today, as you come over Wilmorton bridge where the college used to be, coming from Ascot Drive onto Pride Park. Anyway, it is two lanes at the traffic lights, which merges into one lane as you get to the top of the bridge, folks either merge in turn, or lane 1 refuses to let lane 2 merge in, so they just stay side by side at the crest of the bridge, and it then splits back into two lanes. Just over the crest where all this conflict usually occurs, the bib decide to park their blue unmarked Astra estate car with ANPR or a Scamera in the back, so they can nick folks coming over the hill and take them by surprise.
What a bunch of absolute tossers! parked on a double yellow line just over a blind brow at a well know conflict/pinch point where there are often cars side by side in the one lane because no-one has yielded.
Dangerous idiots. The road aint wide enough for three cars!
At the roundabout you can go in various directions, uniform were pulling folks and 'talking' to them who had come over the bridge, they had uniform at all points around Pride Park. Several cars and several coppers.

That'll be because it's about the only part of the Derby road network that has not been subjected to utter chaos for the foreseeable future so they have nowhere else to practice causing obstruction and being able to see if it has worked.
Not quite as bad as the traffic survey in Essex a few days ago - but you have to wonder if they were trying to compete. Perhaps the govt. has set some new forms of target?
