While Dave and I were having our (very) quiet drink on Tuesday, i thought it would be a good idea to have another meal around Xmas time.
Tuesday December 6th is about the only date available and they have a Xmas menu for £15.95 for 3 courses. Min booking 10 pple, max 30pple and they would need a £5 deposit per person.

any takers?

I've managed to establish that the White Lion requires menu choices as well as the deposit before a firm booking is made. (I've made a provisional booking).

If you definitely want to go, email me through my profile.
I'll need your email address and complete menu choice. Dave (my bf) will then use Paypal to invoice you and you can pay the deposit electronically to him. once we have 10 deposits, we can make the booking. If it doesn't go ahead we will, of course, return all monies.

MENU

Starters
Cream of vegetable soup
Home made chicken liver pate with mulled wine syrup
Scottish smoked salmon served with prawns marie rose

Main Course
Traditional roast turkey with seasonal trimmings
Grilled fillet of salmon with a white wine and dill cream sauce
Roast topside of prime english beef with yorkshire pudding
Home cooked gammon ham studded with cloves and honey glazed
Mediterranean wellington - fresh al-dente vegetables oven roasted with fine herbs and olive oil, entwined with a rich mediterranean sauce encased in golden puff pastry

Sweets
Christmas pudding with brandy sauce
Marbled chocolate torte with cream
Glazed lemon brulee and ice cream

Coffee and mince pies.

Have fun choosing!!

I shall look forward to meeting your good lady

I take it that we won't be doing wheel spins at the lights on the way home that evening

You're so right, all very sensible in the driving department when she's around otherwise she punches me! Bit of a bruiser is my missus, she trains pit bulls to wrestle.

I will once she's perused the menu probably be tomorrow or certainly over the weekend. She's not keen on food she hasn't prepared herself but I'm sure she'll make an exception to say hello
