The other half and I are looking at possibly moving to the Warwick Gates / Heathcote area, but we’re moving from about 100 miles away—is there anything about the area we should be aware of? Should we avoid it altogether or is it fairly decent? Anyone know?

We lived there for 10 years, and enjoyed it. It’s fairly typical of a new (ish) estate. A good mix of people with the occasional scally in the affordable housing parts. Crime was relatively low when we lived there, but that was almost 10 years ago. Friends who still live there haven’t said it’s changed.

I don’t know much about the newer parts of Heathcote, but there is a new school being built up there if you have kids. Other local schools rate well too. Happy to have a chat if you want to drop me a pm.

Well I have lived here for 21 years in a couple of different houses. As stated, it is a typical housing estate. The old part (24 years old) is fine, generally pleasant with amenities such as a doctors, co-op, pharmacy, and hairdressers, chippy and a good Chinese takeaway. The newest part (5 years old or less), is also nice IMHO. Has a primary school on the development, and soon a secondary school very near by. Amenities are similar to those listed above. Very convenient for Warwick town and Leamington as well as the M40, all within 2 miles.
Hope this helps.
