Caffeine and machine new venue...

I went once and it seemed very poncy full of "Instagram famous" people (presumably, as they all had their @ tags on their cars) and an elitist attitude.
Maybe I just went on the wrong day, there were loads of nice cars but didn't feel like my kind of vibe.
Being fair, I’ve been multiple times (lost count) and only once have I thought “This is stuffed full of bellends”. Not a bad ratio!Maybe I just went on the wrong day, there were loads of nice cars but didn't feel like my kind of vibe.
Sunday mornings seem the best (unless you go to a themed day/evening)-helps the drive over is most enjoyable then, too!

I’ve been a couple of times, last time had to queue for ages and by the time we were served they had pretty much sold out of all food, they seemed to have become a victim of their own success, haven’t been back, prefer the Classic Car Hub, maybe I’m getting old!
That must have been a while a go.You can easily order from any table, as well as there are now outside food stalls. Cash can also be used in the main building its self, but yes I agree that any venue with card only can be of putting.
They limit numbers at the weekend to keep the numbers just right.
During the week is a very plesent experience to. You never know what's going to turn up. There is always a good mix of cars and bikes, with enthusiasm from owners.
I would suggest anyone who has not been to give it a try, it's a great place. I don't recognise some of the descriptions that I have read on here.
I went to the motorist venue last month for the first time, and although it was a good day, it was not a patch on caffeine and machine imo.
Just my thoughts
. Edit. Never heard of the classic car hub, will look into that thanks

I think the food ordering is way better now you can just do it from the table. It used to be a ball ache ordering inside. It can be a bit slow at times (ie when it super busy). It’s better now numbers are more controlled; summer days pre-COVID we’re absolutely chocker. Loads more cars to see but also much slower service. You can easily order from any table, as well as there are now outside food stalls. Cash can also be used in the main building its self, but yes I agree that any venue with card only can be of putting.

I’ve always thought that the majority of people there were sound. In any gathering of people, there’ll always be some knobbers it’s just a fact of life.
I’ve always enjoyed the eclectic mix of cars too.
I’d agree that it’s worth going if you’ve never been never.

I have been a number of times and enjoyed it, especially outside of weekends. It makes sense they open more venues.
A venue further down south would be nice just surprised others have not wanted to invest in something similar..

It does seem a good business model, particularly with village pubs reallly struggling, I guess the issue is finding somewhere far enough away from local residents so as not to generate bad feeling and potential issues with the council, there used to be a regular bike night at a pub in Avebury, really well attended, but bad behaviour by a few upset local residents who managed to get it shut down (the night not the pub).A venue further down south would be nice just surprised others have not wanted to invest in something similar..
