I wrote this in detailing section, but thought to ask here with it being more local thank you.

Hi all. 3 weeks into the ownership of a new Golf GTi (very good too) I need some help with the paintwork.

I'll try to keep this short.

I noticed a number of swirls and longer faint scratches especially on the bonnet in the showroom and asked for it to be addressed before collection.

The car was also given a Supaguard coating prior to collection.

Last weekend when giving the first hand wash I could see a variety of frightening circular, dull patches where the machine polisher was left too long with too much pressure.

I've emailed the dealer asking for it to be rectified by a professional of my choosing (I don't know of any!) as I've lost confidence in their staff when it comes to paintwork. Hopefully they will agree to this and pay the bill.

So to the point, who can I contact to get my bonnet back to A1 condition please? I might ask them to do the rest of the car whilst they're at it.

Thanks!

Nick

Or try Poshtwit (also called Richard) on here. He is in Gloucestershire so pretty close, reasonable rates and an all round good bloke

Sportscar Protection work out of The Supercar Rooms in Kidderminster, they've just finished a 288 GTO for them so that would tick the box for me

edited to add their fb page which has a few images of some of the detailing work,
