Ok, I am pretty sure some of you out there will tell me where to get off but this is the best place I know to get answers

A mate of mine is in Oz and has left me his Tamora to look after (I know, tough gig etc) I didnt plug the trickle charger in and now it is as flat as something very flat. Everything is in the car including the plug to fit onto the connector.

I know there are options to unlock the boot as I had a Chim but dont know where to start with this one.

I dont want to know how to open the car - I wouldnt expect to be told - just the boot so I can get the connector and jump it

Very Happy to PM / give info to reassure genuine nature of post

I know the answer is out there somewhere!

Hope to hear soon

You've only got one post and are asking for a way to access a car that could be used for other purposes, it's unlikely people will respond so you may be better to go in person to a garage.

Hi Dave,

You're absolutely right - I knew it was a long shot but its going in for an MOT on Monday and I travel a lot so to re-organise is a royal pain in the butt

I dont suppose you know if I can buy the connector at a Halfrauds, then I stand a fighting chance to get it charged up. Like a complete noob I bought a super duper charger thing this morning, blue air on discovering there was not a Savile in Pentonvilles chance of them actually connecting.

Classic fire, ready, aim.

Thanks for the response anyway

D,

Past sins saw me as Gerard Du Trunion on Lotus 7 Club forum - Blatchat before I came over from the dark side but i haven't posted on there for years, a particularly unpleasant divorce saw all the toys disappear.

Ive just tried to search the forum quickly in the vain hope I was still in an archive somewhere but couldn't locate any - funnily enough it looks exactly the same as it did

Its my own stupid fault! Der

Hi Simon, sorry I'm the world's least practical person so I would have no idea.

If the owner is a registered member of TVRCC they may help yousmile

D, for what its worth I found 2 posts from Blatchat - both equally ridiculous and obscure referring to a pre and post Le Mans trip with the Lotus 7 Club

http://www.blatchat.com/t.asp?id=6143

I know that this may not change anything and I do respect your view completely, its just if I can get this sorted tomorrow it would be a real bonus, the owner is cycling around NZ at the moment which does not help one iota

If you change your mind then great, if not then I will have to wait until he replies or give Steve Guglielmi a call Monday - he used to service my Chim.

Best regards

Simon

I haven't owned a Tamora so I don't know if there is an easy way.

But on other cars I've jacked them up so I can reach the alternator from underneath and connected power to it's big red lead which is a direct link to the battery.

Otherwise I'd try posting in the Tamora section.

right, having failed miserably last weekend I need to order the right Anderson,

I hope its within the realms of a safe post to ask exactly which one I need to order to make sure I can get it all sorted.

I also managed to park it passenger door as close to the wall as possible so I will be borrowing a low jack to lift it so I can get underneath

I had forgotten what a joy (!) trevors can be

You'd be better asking on the tamora section or calling TVR power. Also if you can get to the Anderson it will say which one it is tho I suspect it will be 175A but being a TVR it wouldn't surprise me if it was 50 Amp....
