Need some new tyres - Cov/Solihull/South Bham etc
Discussion
If anyone can recommend somewhere for tyre purchase / fitting I would be grateful. Had a couple of poor experiences in recent years with muppet tyre fitters and I really want to go to somewhere that is recommended this time. And if they offer good value prices in the first place then all the better! Thanks.
I've found Britannia cheapest ,and not too bad for service on most things. http://www.britanniatyres.co.uk/

Another one I've found not too bad ,was http://www.justtyres.com/
Branches in Cov & Sollihull
But If alloys, check handbook for correct torque.

I've used both Silverline and Britannia Coventry for years, and never had any problems with either.
Brit'a tend to be a little cheaper, but it's "turn up and wait" there, and they use airguns for all except final torquing. With Silverline you can sometimes book a slot and they do it all by hand.

Hometyre at www.hometyre.co.uk are a good bet, they come to your home or work, and they're not too different in price to other places.
Regularly get them to replace all four corners on my GT-Four (and he's coming on Saturday to change two rears on my MR2) and never had a problem with them

Just in case it's any use to anyone in the future...Needed to get them done today, but hadn't organised anything in advance, so as I was in the area anyway I gave Britannia in Coventry a go. They had a really big selection of 225/40/18s in stock, and the only one they didn't have was the GY Assymetrics

Anyway, I went for the Michelin PS3s (had them before, though probably the PS2s actually), quick turnaround when I turned up, would go there again next time

Great news. I used to know one of their managers, and got great service. But I've pitched up in Coventry not knowing anyone, and still got the same great service. Not so long ago ,I needed a battery for mine. They looked at the specs, and when I took old one in ,went to great lengths to get me the right one. Daughter had similar experience with her battery. They even swapped it out FOC. She had exhaust problems, where the cat was not the right one,but smaller in diameter. No problem , they made a sleeve to fit. No charge . Some of the depots have geriatric managers. But the guys on the shop floor are ace.
