Apologies for the cross post....

As Evesham kinda falls into the area covered by both Midlands and south west, I figured it might be an idea to post this on here...

Firstly, hello..

Secondly, Matt_T16 is scheduled to pop down to the 'sham soon for a bit of a beer and xbox session.. so I figured it might be an idea to have a wee local get together..

So how's about the midlanders consider cruising on into the three counties to join us for a little bit of lunchtime conviviality?

Location to be decided, date .. in the next month or so, day, a weekend, probably sunday..

What are your thoughts chaps and chapesses?

Good idea although you will find that it may fall within the hole that previous attempts have tumbled into.

Basically because the region is so big there are a number of centres and attempts to find common ground have been a bit thin. What we need is to find a venue somewhere that is actually central and the various local groups cruise together to that spot.

The area seems to run from Mansfield/ Nottingham in the NE, from Stoke in the NW, from Worcester in the SW and Northants in the SE. Geographically this makes somewhere like Tamworth the central spot. Otherwise the travel makes it too far for those at the edge to make the effort (ie you could have a 200+ mile journey to stand around looking at cars!

Not being negative but check out the Midlands Meet threads and you'll see what I mean. It may be worth thinking about either a theme or venue that has an attraction in itself
