These days about 3 million people use the tram a year.
They sound like Covid affected stats, because 19/20 was 18.7 million. 20/21 was 3.4 million.....now up to £1,076,000 per week. Hard to imagine how that can be!

The Mrs and a few mates were looking for an AirBnB place to sleep at least 6, possibly with parking, they were throwing a few locations about last night and one suggestion was Magdala Road, Mansfield Road end, now I had a mate live in that area 25 years ago, while not the roughest then and it was going through a bit of gentrification, based on the walk to the tram being across 'The Forest' I was a little bit 'not keen' on the idea, justified or not?
Think 6, 50something women, partial to a bit of Prosecco, not familiar with the area at night.
Magdala Road used to be a hang out for the Nottingham Street Walking ladies, but the internet has solved that.Think 6, 50something women, partial to a bit of Prosecco, not familiar with the area at night.
That part of Carrington is pretty decent, but you could cop unlucky anywhere. It's a hop skip & a jump into town, and taxis each way would cost beans between the group. (It'd be about five minutes in a cab).

Not been in, but this is just down the road from us & benefits from being on the quiet side of Maid Marian Way. Hot tubs & everything!

They had seen that one, rejected because it's a bit too big/their group is too small. https://castlehousenottingham.co.uk/
Hope you are well Steve.
It’s been proven that the council are indeed a set of loons.
Nottingham’s main draw for hotel accommodation is stag and hens at the weekend and sporting events. There’s not a hotel room to be had the back end of this week due to the Test Match.
It does get a lot of tourists who inevitably are deeply disappointed with the castle.

It’s the Castle isn’t it? Bit too far up for Fothergills.Fusion777 said:
Thought I'd park in the Forest Req like I've done quite a few times before and walk down/round for a few hours. Came back to find the car clamped, £140 to release.
My fault, I didn't see the signs that say that will happen if you don't take the tram, though signage is pretty poor for a vast open car park. I genuinely missed them and didn't know they were enforcing it.
Guess that now NET were/are in the hole to the tunes of millions, they've got to try and claw some back somehow. Seems very strict though for a first "offence". Not like the car park was rammed either, there were hundreds of spaces.
They've also slapped a 20mph limit on Gregory Boulevard between the roundabout and car park too, for good measure.
Good job high streets aren't struggling, isn't it?
They’ve also been clamping down (forgive the pun) on muppets that can’t park straight. My fault, I didn't see the signs that say that will happen if you don't take the tram, though signage is pretty poor for a vast open car park. I genuinely missed them and didn't know they were enforcing it.
