Apart from Formula One (I have no problem with them just want other choices) who else is good with K Series engines. I need the head gasket replacing and the tappets re-shiming

When I was discussing service options on BC, HWR motorsport in Ncl were suggested and one person recommended them (http://www.hwrmotorsport.com/contact/) they are just off the Berwick Hill Road between Moorfarm R/bout and Ponteland. Haven't used them myself but their site suggests they prep Caterhams for racing so they may be worth a call.

Did you manage to break it yesterday then?biggrin

Mark.

It was already potentially broke I just confirmed the HG is braking down.

The car still performs well it just likes to overheat and throw its water out.

HWR do not do K Series

There is also this garage at Consett: http://www.astonparts.co.uk/ They list k series MG's as part of their business, might be worth a look. I understand they split from the Aston Martin workshop at Beamish and they get good reviews.

Bank Top Garage in Newcastle are a good all round garage, and one of their more experienced technicians is ex Rover staff, he expressed an interest several times in taking care of my old Elise for me.

I was going to use F1 but Dan can get it done quicker. Also he had mailes me and mentioned things that onkly an experienced K Series guy would know about. Also he has a good relationshiop with DVA (Dave Andrews) who is the K Series guru.

Peter, seems like you are sorted now. I guess most garages don't like dealing with them given the fact they are made of cheese:-)

Thanks for your help the other day carl, I spoke the DVA and F1 but both are very busy at the mo

Dan contacted me and is endorsed by DVA so it would be nice to have someone local that's good with cheese wink
