Hi all. I thought it was about time I introduced myself here. Been a member for a couple of months, not contributed yet, but was looking for like minded people, car meets, and drive outs in the North East. Seems like a good place to start.
I turned up at the MetroCentre on Wednesday 13th and was impressed by the turn-out there, and the other varied and interesting vehicles. A bit disappointed that I was in the only Aston, but there again there's other clubs for that.
Hope to meet more of you guys in the future, see what projects you're working on and join-in with some drive-outs too.

All the best,
Sean

The metro centre meet is very much aimed around American V8 cars but allsorts does go.

As mentioned a big supercar meet on the 24th of April if your interested?

If yours was the white V8 Vantage then I'm pretty sure I saw you on the A695 near the flashing "SLOW DOWN" signs the night before the meet.

Welcome to Pistonheads!

Cheers for the welcome guys.
As far as cars I like, the range is quite broad, sports cars for the obvious, classics for nostalgia, mud pluggers for some dirty fun, I can appreciate just about anything and see the owners point if he/she is enthusiastic about it. Usual story, too many cars to lust for but too little space, money and time for them all though.
I also love bikes, but alas, have recently hung up my leathers as taking the family for a pick-nick is much easier in a car these days!
The Aston will be getting a relatively deep strip-down after summer - any of you guys done this before to a DBS or Aston V8?

Yes, that was probably me you saw on the A695 Mastdon2. I'd have been adjusting the carbs and seeing how she ran that day, so if you were behind it might have smelt a bit rich mind.

What extent are you planning on going to with the Aston? I've never worked on one, but always happy to lend a hand.
