Got it taxed on Monday and took it out for a spin on Tuesday. Its been off road since July last year. I must say, I'm very impressed with the power. biggrin

Still got a few little things to sort out though.

I Love it. This is what modding cars is about, none of that Max Power st - who wants a fking lowered Golf with pink wheels when you could have something like this?

Can you tell us more about it? If this is your motor I will keep an eye out for you as I am quite often in the Metrocentre area these days.

Sorry I forgot to mention engine.

Its a C20LET engine (out of a Calibra turbo), was running 291bhp when I bought it, but that was with a larger diameter exhaust and now only has 2.25" so I'm guessing figures will be a bit lower.

I will add full spec at a later date, just need to go through all receipts and remember everything is been done to it lol

It does indeed coollaugh

I'm expecting it to be high 700s/low 800s so good power to weight ratio.

Nice, what's the thing hanging down under the front of the car?, is it a sump guard or something?

So how reliable is this thing, and will it be your day to day car? I have to say, I really do love this. It's not in your face, it's almost sleeper like in how subtle it is from a distance, then you get up close and you see the wheels, then the bright orange cage etc.

Will you be putting a grill over the front to cover up the exposed intercooler?

That lower strut brace is asking to be ripped off!! Looks like you've got about 50-60mm Ground clearence!! yikes

I like the supprise element of the car though! Goodstuff!
The torque-steer must be a pig though, is it not!?

Mastodon2 - The car just came out and I'm having some teething problems which I'm sorting out, and I drive a 1.2 corsa as a daily so this doesn't need to be that reliable, as long as it doesn't break down on track I'm happy lol

I put a grille on yesterday, it wasn't on when pics were taken because I didn't have the right type of screws for it

marky911 - That lower brace hasn't caught on anything yet so I'm happy, and it doesn't torque steer that bad to be honest.

I'm not trying to be clever or facetious here but why is the C20LET preferred to the Z20LET on many of these conversions?

I liked the photo with the SR grille. Makes it look more of a sleeper wink

Z20LET have flyby throttle, Nova is cable.

Z20LET loom and ECU won't work on a Nova, will need after market ECU etc.

It can be made to work obviously but C20LET is the cheaper option and ecowrecks are crap.
