Anyone know of any reputable tradesmen who can supply and fit a laminate floor for a reasonable price? My lass wants to replace the carpet in her flat with laminate flooring, and although I appreciate its probably not a hugely difficult job, I am pretty cack-handed with DIY stuff like this (as in, I've never done it before, don't know what's involved, and would rather not risk messing up), so I'm after a person / company who can do this, and do it for a price that wont bankrupt her.

Any suggestions? TIA!

Mate give it a shot it's easy! Only major thing is to make sure that your first full length is straight so use a spirit level as Walls can be deceiving! Once that's down it's easy at the end of each length use the cut off to start the next.

Pop in to B&Q and pick up the DVD shown on this page:

I used this and managed to lay laminate successfully and quickly having never done it before. You'll be surprised how easy it is, honest.

I always get nervous when people say jobs are "easy" because I can make a mess of even the easiest job biggrin
