Car stoarge? NE/Northumberland/Yorkshire
Discussion
Does anyone know of anywhere in the area (although im happy to travel an hour or so) that offers a decent car storage facility i.e. secure unit, possibly a facility to keep the battery on charge, preferably a company that specialise in sports/classic/supercars.
Google doesnt bring up much up here. Mostly down south.
Mainly looking for next winter but may need something for a few weeks now until the weather improves.
Failing that if anyone has a spare space in the garage next to their F40......
Thanks in advance.

Apologies for the poor spelling in the title. I blame typing too fast.

I haven't used them myself (ended up storing my car in a mates chicken shed!).
But had a couple of chats / visits to http://www.storagehouse.co.uk/contact.html

It varied, dependant on what it was you wanted. In my initial discussions it was just somewhere undercover to park it long term, so it could be in a corner of one of the big sheds. That progressed to renting a shipping container, where I could store it securely / work on it and fit a load of other stuff from the garage in as well.
Good point.
Chicken shed costs me £2 a week. Given I wanted to store the car very long term, it just made sense.
Last time I was there, mine was sharing the shed with an Audi Quattro Turbo, an XR3i, a Pug 205 Gti, a couple of Landrovers, enough parts to make a couple of Mini's, a Lancia Beta (or might have been a Monte Carlo, hard to tell when they are stripped to a bare shell), dozens of tractors and all sorts of farm machinery.

Cheers I looked at that one, not a lot of info on their site though. Have you used them?
Where are they based?
Yeah I have a car there at the moment. I don't really want to say where it is, for obvious reasons, needless to say it is very secure!Where are they based?
Probably best to call them, ask for David.

My pals been looking for undercover storage for his boat and one of my cars. He's found a place in Darlington for £10 per week. I'll give him a shout and get more details if it's of any interest.
That would be great thanks.MoonMonkey said:
Ok, It's Lingfield Warehousing http://www.lingfieldwarehousing.co.uk/ and my mate Paul is paying £40 / month for 22ft to store his boat. Tel: 01325 485533 ask for Sophie - she's a bit of a hottie according to Paul
^True story that.^ I work on that site for another company and have to speak to her to get into our storage facility we have.1275GT said:
