Numerous deep potholes on the A19 southbound between Moor Farm and Holystone. Some are long enough to get front and rear wheels in, wouldn't like to hit them at speed.

A1 near metro centre is really awful, especially if your running a solid suspension set up !

+1, A1 is actually dangerous now IMO.

Done it.
Good website. If you have to have to make a claim and the pothole has been reported it may add some weight.

Try http://www.fixmystreet.com/ as well.

I reported one last year and it was filled in within a couple of days.

The Blaydon/Metrocentre turnoff is a joke.

Yeah that's the worst stretch for sure, ironically it's now a 50, and it's barely safe to do any more than that. I actually go other ways just to avoid that stretch as the car bangs and crashes along it - can't be good for the car.

East bound A66 for a 2 mile stretch (?) between Darlo and Stockton

they have put 'Temporary Road Surface' and '30mph' advisory signs

managed to get a stone chip from a piece that was kicked up

Last winter I was late in re-newing my tax disc (nearly 3 months late oops) and a local traffic copper, who lives over the road asked me, while I was having a tab outside the house, when I was going to get round to taxing it. My reply to this was as soon as you fill these potholes in" pointing at the entire road which was worse than the surface of the moon, to which he laughed and left it at that. After taxing my car I saw him again and shouted over "you seen my tax disc?" "Yep" he said "Well I don't see these bloody holes being filled up!!!" He laughed and I said "I was seriously considering not paying out of protest." I'd have saved myself a whole year of tax if I had, as they've finally just come out and resurfaced road. However I ended up breaking my car after being told what it needed to keep it on the road, after a few months of driving on these roads. Potholes don't bother me as I'm now driving a 4x4 with mud tyres and tough suspension
.
Mind you I still swear if I hit those ones near the Metrocentre, it's all well and good leaving the ones on streets like mine but on a 70 limit road that's just ridiculous

The whole area appears to be falling apart. I've wrecked both front ball joints on my car having only replaced them last November. Have a lovely sounding clunk at the back end now too...
There have been a couple of large holes just off the A19 near Nissan, heading towards Sunderland. Each week they are filled in but within a day or so they are worse than before. The only way to fix them is to redo the whole road but I guess that costs the councils too much money...
