I'm pretty certain it closes over the winter months as we were there a couple of years back and they had a sign up saying they were closed over the winter months.

I would have thought it would be open today, can imagine there will be a few wanting to take advantage of the quiet roads.
Not sure I quite feel well enough to hoon it up there!

Open 7 days of week from beg. April to end of October from 9am to 5pm

Nov, Jan, Feb & March open Friday to Monday from 10am to 4pm (weather permitting).

Closed December.

If its reasonable Im having a look out on tues in that direction. Had a crap christmas with work, vx220 not been out in about 6 weeks, need to blow the cobwebs away

My chosen weather site is saying sleet from midnight to 6 am on Tuesday over Alston way; CA9. I think it might be better to wait a while. I'm sure Sean will have quite a few good drives lined up for 2011.

Went up to Hartside today and the cafe was CLOSED

Roads were generally good, few patches of slush but alot of grit still on the roads

Might go for a drive up that way tomorrow. Not bothered about the cafe but havent been up there since I got the new car so it gives me a reason. Not that i need one!

I was there Sunday and it was closed as well...

Roads were good and fun but a fair bit of ice in patches compared to Thursday last week when I went over.

I once rode to Hartside, when there was snow. The Cafe was shut and my hands got proper cold.
