Hi, I'm just trying to work out the best way yo do this....
I'm planning on refurbing the wheels on both of my cars myself, I will be sanding/spraying
them 2 at a time, starting with the aerodeck....
So the point of this thread is.... are there any garages/tyre fitters would like to give me a rough price on removing 8 tyres then re-fitting them over the course of a few weeks. If you could pm me any offers or personal recommendations would be superb.
Little before pic of wheels, aerodeck fans are to go anthracite and some may disagree but the type R wheels are going white.... I'll get my coat getmecoat

Forgot to mention, closer to middlesbrough the better
Many thanks in advance

Try C&S tyres in Middlesbrough as they claim they will fit tyres supplied by you (I have bought tyres from them).

I negotiated £60 with a place near me (Wingate) to swap over 4x15" and 4x18" summer tyres to winter tyres, which included removing and refitting the wheels, rebalancing etc. Some places wanted to charge me £15 each for the 18" wheels. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply, I already had them In mind as that is where I get my enduro bike tyres.
I shall give them a call and see what they say

Just came off the phone to C&s, he quoted £15 per wheel X 8 = £120 + 2 spares frown
I was kind of hoping to pay about a third of that ideally lol

Try stag tyres in Hartlepool usually pretty good at jobs like that.

Look at it another way.

Why don't you take the wheels to any old local tyre place and ask them to give you a price to remove the tyres only.

Then ring somewhere like C&S (who are more likely to take care of your spangly refurbed wheels) and get them to give you a price to re-fit and balance your existing tyres.

This makes sense, cheers. I'm going to try cliff's autos (scrapyard skippers lane) to see how much remove all 4 aerodeck tyres as it's now sat on different wheels.
then like you say get them re-fitted somewhere that won't damage them.

Hartlepool might be just that bit too far if I end up doing quite a few runs, but i'll give them a call anyway for a quote
Cheers

Its a pity you live too far away buddy, us at jackson tyre service - south shields would have demounted the lot & remounted after refurbishment including balancing for around £5 per wheel, we also pride ourselves on not damaging rims when fitting, its a passion of quality tyre fitting.

Why dont you save yourself all the time hassle and take your cars over to Romax on Portrack Lane - They will refurb your wheels for less than you might think. Give them call or pop round 01642 619196

OP, sorry for the thread hijack -
Hi Jockster, I'm not too far away and have a boat-load of tyres needing changing in the near future (4 on my daily-driver, 4 on my summer-car in the new year and loads on my track-car [wet and slicks]. If you can do that price for me I'll pop over soon. I'm not having the wheels refurbished, I simply have tyres on wheels that I want on my current wheels, if that makes sense.
Cheers, Mark.

PS, obviously when the time comes for brand new ones I'll use you for those too. Thanks.
