I think some cars are just unlucky, no matter how you or others drive, they will regularly have bumps.

(anyway its a good excuse to use the vx as a daily for a while driving)

Surely your insurance doesn't need to be involved as you'll be claiming off his?

It will still need to be declared when he comes to renew.

Have you been involved in an accident during the past 5 years sir?

That is 5hit luck - hope you can get it sorted quickly.

Dunno about your insurane then, but mine sees non-fault as just that. No premium increase as no claim.

I would find out from your neighbours if any of them saw what happened. Otherwise, looking at the damage pics, the other party (if so inclined) may try to claim that you rear-ended him. I would imagine you've considered that already though.

yes due to the circs and erm experience at work i realised this possibility straight away. Anyway the other driver has admitted his liability.
I assumed you would have done so and I noticed you'd mentioned the other driver - though he'll get chance to think about it once he's gone away and got advice from his mates etc. Hopefully he'll prove to be decent enough!

Last year someone did a hit and run on my Berlingo van £1600 worth of damage, had to put a claim in and the annoying thing is not only did my van insurance go up but also my car insurance which is insured with a different company.
