Right. Since I loathe Christmas, for a multitude of reasons I shan't explore here, I intend on avoiding it wherever possible by sleeping, working, or otherwise vanishing into a portal.

Xmas day, however, I intend on going for a run out, with camera if it's not piddling down, and making the most of everyone else watching the Great Escape and eating roasties. (I'll catch up on the food in the evening, it's the one thing I don't mind about the whole charade).

So - anyone fancy joining me?

xmas day is a good day for hooning - when I lived with my folks, I used to make a habit of going out for a hoon on xmas day... these days I generally go to my folks, but you've put the idea in my head, so I might be tempted!

You got anywhere in mind? It might be a great day to take advantage of roads which are excellent but otherwise heavily trafficked, i.e. A686 smile

Definitely intending to pick up Alston along the way. And probably head right up North over the border. I'll gauge interest as we get closer to the time, and see how far people fancy driving.

Considering throwing a BBQ in the boot, for a slightly different Xmas dinner, too... wink

I'd come but i'm forced to spend time with my family, open presents and eat lots of food till I explode.

Having two children aswell means I would miss them opening their presents.

Think i'll give it a miss but hope you have fun. laugh

That'll be some drive if you're going to do the 686 AND do scotland... dont get me wrong, I'll likely be up for it and it sounds like amazing fun on a deserted xmas day, but somehow, I dont think you'll get all that many takers - but I'm happy to be proved wrong, and as said, I'm up for it in theory!

hehe I know, it'll be a long'un - but I'm more than happy for people to join me for smaller legs. And the BBQing.
