Unlucky. I doubt you will get a response around here unless you stop with the text speak. Then when you decide to put it into a proper sentence you should post this in the "jap chat" section. Just an idea.

Try the other remote and/or replace the battery in the dead remote.

No spare key? Why not? All cars come with at least 2 keys.

When you took delivery from said mate, would you have accepted it with only 3 wheels or maybe only one headlight or perhaps no bootlid?

Sorry but only having one key is a clusterfk waiting to happen, as you have just found out.

Hi there, allow me to help. Your car is an Impreza right? So obviously you'll have the mandatory pitbull on the back seat, yes? Just get 'im to open the door for you, from the inside. Job done! You owe me a beer. wink

hehe
I know, Iknow, I just couldn't help it.
Mass generalisations are the future! wink

OP - If you're really stuck, join the AA. You can't claim (get recovered) for 1 day after joining (if it's the same as when I joined). Ring them in 2 days time and get them out. You'll need roadside relay/homestart cover if the car's still at home. You'll only need roadside relay if it's 1 mile+ from home. They'll physically get in no problem, usually. Then If it's not battery or something simple, they'll recover your car to an alarm or subaru specialist. Job done! U owe me 2 beers. smile

PS. We broke down a few years ago en route to Gatwick airport. My mate wasn't a member but, he rang and as long as he paid his years subscription up front £100ish they brought the car home to Newcastle, after dropping us off at Peter-bog-horror train station. A recovery from a company would be £100+ so it's a bargain, as you then have a years cover left, enabling you to break down whenever you like!

Just not too often, because then they kick you out!
