Next NEPH drive out, roll call now taking place.

Date: Sunday October 10th 2010.
Time: Early Morning.

Plan is to meet at Washington Services Southbound, a short drive to a nearby friendly Golf Club for bacon Sarnies and brekky, then heading out West along scenic country roads on to Hartside Pass, stop for photos (and further bacon sarnies for those who need topping up), on a bit further, then returning back to the NE lunchtime'ish via different but equally scenice roads.

This is a somewhat special drive for me, given I've recently seen the back of my much loved Elise, and with the introduction of my new Megane F1 R26. Also this will be the last drive organised by me for 2010, where has this year gone ??

Usual rules, any car is more than welcome, but strictly safe, family-friendly driving if you please. The pace will be enthusiastic, but strictly safe.

Also because of the time of year, we'll keep a close eye on the weather, if its looking bad, then we'll still all meet and have brekky, but take a judgement call on going ahead with the drive.

Reply on here if you're up for it, and I'll update this opening post accordingly. Exact details of times/routes etc will be emailed a couple of weeks before the date.

(Thanks in advance to Hedgetrimmer, as usual, for helping select the very best roads, and to Craig-ts for organising the Golf Club brekky)

Attendees:
1. AfterShock, Minaro VXR500
2. Bill, Seat Leon
3. Colin, MNR R1 kitcar

I'll leave you off for now until you can confirm, but keep an eye on it in case it fills up.

Sean,

Stick me down for this as I have some driving to catch up on this year. Let me know if I can help with Sat-Nav routes if needed.

Look forward to seeing your new car and talking about how you find it compared to the last one.

I am interested but I need more details so that I can work out time to get back to open up shop.

Forgive me but where is "Hartside Pass", give me a landmark or postcode so that I can work out time to get there and back to Newcastle area using google maps.

If time is good Me, Wife and 2 kids will be along in a loud VXR8.
Noose - you have an email with rough timings, although still in the planning stage so could change slightly, postcode for hartside pass cafe is CA9 3BW, let me know if you want adding.

Hi James, I'm finding the R26 a very impressive and capable car. Clearly very different from the Lotus, both are very good cars, but both very different.

I'll give you the detail when we next speak...

Sean.
