Glorious weather and a great show field. Well done to the organisers at short notice and overcoming local authority problems etc. We had a few cars on show and were looking forward to doubling that next year (if the show is allowed to go ahead), until a few 'visitors' decided to do some handbrake turns in the middle of the field after cruising the perimeter several times that is. This was a real shame as up till that time there had been a great atmosphere with the general public strolling off the sea front to view and chat as they were treated to some very nice cars.
Can't see it being allowed next year especially as two of the cars on show were taken away on a lorry by the police, presumeably for problems on the way to the show.

Thank you for your comments
We've spoken to the council and because the incident involving the 2 cars removed happened before the event, on the way there, they said it wasn't anything to do with the show so that should not be a problem. It was still embarrassing but the police refused to let us remove them from the field before taking them away. They had been seen driving dangerously on the way to the show.
The young men who were driving around just towards the end were asked to leave and eventually did so when they were informed the police were on there way, well actually it took them forever to turn up but they left. I was at the loo when they first started driving round, asked them to park up if they wished to stay then they did that most likely to annoy me as I had asked them to park up. The same ones go in the grounds at every event as the council insist on not locking the gates but we've discussed alternative measures for any future events, accessing bollards etc.
The main issues with doing it again there were that the council insisted on every trader having their own public liability insurance of £5 million on the Thursday before so we had to refuse several interested traders. We also had a restriction on how many cars we could have. The red tape is so annoying as it could have been even better. I won't dwell as most seemed to have a good day. Our intention was for a small show where families could relax, enjoy the cars and the local area which is what most said they had
We're definately still learning being our first one (We've done the RC for years and wanted to add something to it) and a lot of the experience from this show, what we needed/should have had and should not have had will be something I take from it and others do too.
Oh and we're on track for raising the £1000 I wanted to achieve!!!! Was a shame one of the charities couldn't attend but they were doing what they do best, taking groups of disabled children to the tall ships and on the big bike ride. Stray Aid who were there have had people interested in dogs contact them since the show so that's even better news.
Thanks to everyone who came along to support this event, some beautiful cars!
Oh I'll post the raffle results in here after it's drawn on the 21st of September and send them to the club reps I have details for

The girls came from another 'forum' but offered to help with the fundraising collections so I wasn't going to say no. They did a sterling job to be fair, I think the 'idea' all started as a bit of fun on the site a while ago. However most agreed with you. It's not something I wanted to encourage, however when they are already attending you make use of the resources you have.
Yes both section 59 and a rather expensive lesson learned I would hope but given the attitude of the Evo driver I very much doubt it. When said Evo driver had the cheek to come back he was asked, upon my request by the officer to leave. The two traffic officers were both very helpful.
http://gallery.me.com/turbobrick#100094 a few more pictures, taken by another fellow female so no picures of any of the girls
